I'd definitely be willing to compromise my personal data, whereabouts, and time to get a hefty monthly discount on cellular service. Plus, being a cheap loser without a blackberry or treo, I'd love to be able to use my $250 phone for more than just phone calls. Granted, I can access the web now by agreeing to additional charges to my cell bill- which already tops $80 for a pretty basic phone and txt package. But the interface, screen size and speed is so awful that I never have. Nor would I consider it- unless maybe I'd been kidnapped and trapped in the trunk of a car but couldn't make a call. At this point, I'd be thrilled if my cell provider was sending me coupons for stores I was in or near. And I'd love to be able to check my phone before I got on a bus or in my car to see what local traffic looks like and which roads are backed up....
